Stainless Steel 304 Welded Sanitary Tubes, ASME SA270 SS Sanitary Tubing Manufacturer
Sanitary Stainless Steel Tubing is mainly made up of two different austenitic stainless steel grades. Most sanitary tubing is made up of either 304 grade steel or the 316L grade of steel. These are both of good strength and high temperature capable. Metallon Pipings FZ LLC is a leading exporter of the 304 stainless steel sanitary tubing as well as the 316L sanitary tubing in different dimensions, scales and shapes. There are carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, nickel, chromium, and iron in these material grades. The 316L however, has additional molybdenum in the content.
The molybdenum content allows the 316L SS Sanitary Tubing to be more corrosion resistant to aqueous conditions, especially to chloride ion rich environments. The 18% chromium and 8% nickel in the composition of these pipes provide better strength. The ASME SA270 SS Sanitary Tubing has 215MPa minimum yield strength and 505MPa minimum tensile strength. The operating temperatures are similar to these tubes. The Sanitary 316L Stainless Steel Tube has long lasting lifespan with lower carbon content levels, it also reduces the localized corrosion at welded joints. The sanitary tubes are used in sanitary applications with varying wall thickness, outer diameters, lengths and schedules.
