Monel UNS N04400 Tubing, Alloy 400 Exhaust Tubes Supplier
Monel Alloy 400 Tube is made up of a material that can operate under sub – zero temperatures. The material has excellent mechanical qualities as well. It is a 67% nickel alloy that has copper, iron, manganese, carbon and silicon in the composition. The Monel 400 Seamless Tube can be hot worked or cold worked to harden it. The material has high strength and high operating temperatures which allow the pipes and tubes to be used in aerospace industrial applications.
It belongs to the ASTM B163 and B730 specifications with ASTM, ASME and API standards. The dimensions vary for the Monel 400 Welded Tubes from 6mm to 50.8mm outer diameters and 0.7mm to 3mm wall thicknesses. There are schedules sch20 through XXS in this grade of tubes. The production of the pipes and tubes vary such as Electric Resistance Weld tubes, seamless tubes, fabricated tubes, LSAW tubes and the ASTM B730 Monel 400 Welded Tubing. The high nickel and 28% copper addition in the composition along with carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur and iron in the composition the material gets high strength. TheMonel 400 ERW Tubes have 550MPa minimum tensile strength and 240MPa minimum yield strength. The melting point is 1350 degrees Celsius and the density is 8.8grams per centimeter cube.
