316L seamless stainless steel pipe is manufactured as per ASTM A312 TP316L standard with low carbon content. The 316 material is made up of chromium nickel alloy with the addition of molybdenum to the composition. This combination makes the material corrosion resistant to most hostile conditions. The Stainless Steel 316L Pipe is easy to weld upon and it is one of the most used stainless steels next to the 304 steel. The applications range from domestic to high end industrial applications. The material is especially corrosion resistant to chloride ion rich environments so that it is used mostly in the sea water desalination plants, water supply lines and in marine applications.
