Stainless steel 347 is stabilized chromium and austenitic stabilized steel contain columbium content. This alloying chemistry allows it to eliminate carbide precipitation and consequently intergranular corrosion. These forged fittings are stabilized by additions of tantalum and chromium content that offers higher creep and stress rupture properties than standard grades. These fittings may also be used for exposure where intergranular corrosion attacks and sensitization is a concern. In addition to columbium, these fittings allow having excellent corrosion resistance even superior to standard grades. These fittings have higher carbon composition from an alloy that shows improved high temperature and creeps properties.
